New brand for Zurich

July 14th, 2011

With “Zürich – World Class. Swiss Made.” as a brand, the canton of Zurich, the city of Zurich and Zürich Tourism want to strengthen the profile and image of Zurich both in Switzerland and internationally. The goal is to use a consolidated image to increase tourist demand, attract more businesses and jobs and strengthen the economy in the region.

Committed to the highest quality and to Switzerland

The new logo and the new slogan “Zürich – World Class. Swiss Made.” highlight the elements that distinguish Zürich in all areas – a commitment to the highest standards, to Swiss quality and to reliability.

Corporate language as a marketing engine!

“When the various bodies speak the same language, we are much more effective and persuasive,” explains government councillor Stocker. “After many years, we now have a consolidated, harmonised Zurich brand, which will be a powerful marketing engine for the entire canton of Zurich.”

Friend tells gold-coin winner about Professor Tell

Although she may not have met Professor Tell personally yet, Christine Trincado became a fan of his on Facebook after hearing about him from a friend – and now she has won June’s gold-coin giveaway. “I’m really pleased and I’m going to tell all my friends about it,” commented the Ticino native with Spanish roots.

She has already fired shots at Tell’s target during the online game but she has never held a real crossbow in her hands. The next opportunity to do so will be at SuisseEMEX at the end of August, where fans can meet Professor Tell in person and take a shot with his crossbow. “Unfortunately, I’ll be on holiday then,” the future kindergarten teacher explained, but she already has a spot picked out for her gold coin. “I’m going to display it on my desk so that when I am working I will always be reminded of the luck that Professor Tell brought to me.”

The team from TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. wishes Christine continued luck, especially during her final examinations. The written part has been completed already, and now she just has to teach a sample class for the examiners from Bern.
