The canton’s website thus makes a significant contribution to integration. With this campaign, the Canton of Zug has taken a pioneering step in Switzerland.

Raiffeisen, Adecco, Schindler, Zürich Tourism and 100 other corporate clients have evaluated the services of TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. In the survey, we asked our corporate customers how satisfied they were with the quality of our translations, texts and services. The participants evaluated content, accuracy, tone, terminology and style as well as target-group conformity and customer friendliness. Over a period of several months, the services of our translation company were evaluated using a rating system from 1 (very poor) to 6 (very good). TRANSLATION-PROBST Ltd. achieved an excellent average rating of 5.15 in the customer survey – which was especially gratifying, as whose feedback is more honest and valuable than that of the customer?

Quality and reliability

Figures alone are not enough, however. Because comments from our customers are also important, there was room for both rating of and comments on the services provided by our translation company. Most of the companies surveyed agree that we always convey the right tone. Some wish, nevertheless, that the translations would stay closer to the source text, while others would appreciate freer translations. Google invents a mouth for machines

This week, Google announced that its Android smartphones can now interpret simultaneously between 14 languages via Google Translate. Terminology – why the investment has paid off for our customers

Terminology – what is it for? More and more firms understand the value and benefits of company-specific terminology, also known as Corporate Language. It means that breakdowns in communication are avoided, and that consistency, quality and intelligibility are ensured. When terms are translated consistently, language overload is avoided.  Terminology is also important to us, because a single Corporate Language simplifies the translation process and increases the quality of the finished product. Nowadays, developments in technical knowledge happen very fast; using dictionaries takes a long time, and they do not even give exact answers. Terminology management is much more effective.
